This programme has been developed, and is presented, under the auspices of Rand Afrikaans University. Successful course participants on the comprehensive programme receive an RAU attendance certificate. Developed by Stef du Plessis, widely regarded as one of South Africa's leading resources in understanding and stimulating human potential, the programme is designed to assist participants in undergoing permanent behavioural change. To this end, sessions are spaced, thereby allowing participants to fully internalise new concepts and to entrench new behavioural patterns before being exposed to the next module. This programme is presented by Stef du Plessis and his associates · Prof Dawie Smith · Dr Johan Geyser · Callie Roos, BD · Elsa Bester, M.Phil PPL · Wanda Bierman, M.Phil PPL · Melodie de Jager, M.Ed The personal leadership programme consists of three modules· Comprehensive course running over three consecutive days (maximum 25 delegates).· Weekly, two-weekly or monthly workshops , in these formats: · Three one-hour presentations , touching on the broad scope of the modules (no limit on number of delegates), or · Three half-day workshops , covering the theory (limited to 40 delegates), or · Three full-day workshops covering both the theory as well as its practical application when participants complete their own lifestyle management and personal development portfolio. Delegates receive a comprehensive workbook for every module. Module 1. AWARENESS: Understanding my PotentialBehavioural IndicatorsParticipants will be invited to join the journey towards personal and organizational excellence. The willing candidates will start to take responsibility for their actions. Content · The wonder of my being · The power of my thinking · The concept of inner self · Stages of formation and alteration of self-image · The birth of our self-image · Programmed performance · Development of new self-belief · New performance - new results · Taking charge of your attitude · Understanding initiative · Learning not to give up · Making the most of your time Learning Outcomes · Understanding the concept of personal potential, and the link between self-image and performance. · Learning that self-image can be altered, and with it personal effectiveness can be increased. · Learning to manage attitude. · Introduction to basic skills associated with personal excellence. Module 2. SELF-AWARENESS: Learning from my PastBehavioural IndicatorsDelegates will be equipped to understand the impact of their actions on the world around them, and they will start their journey towards accountability. Content · Understanding my past programming · Programmed mindsets · Creating new mindsets · Getting to grips with my past · Making a diagnosis - what shape am I in? · Defining my purpose · Designing my own mission statement · What do I do that I don't want to do · What would I really like doing that I'm not doing now? · Taking a step change · Breaking the addiction to our filters · Defining my values: Aligning personal and team values Learning Outcomes · Realising the power of past experience. · Understanding past experiences in the context of personal potential. · Gearing up for the future. · Understand 'Synchronicity'. · Understand the balance between self and career. · Able to review personal values for self and subordinates. · Able to align personal, Team, and Organizational values. Module 3. SELF-ACTUALIZATION: Using my PotentialBehavioural IndicatorsParticipants will develop a personal lifestyle management plan, which will include personal career planning. This will reinforce personal responsibility in all areas of their life.
