Guy Lundy
He was (until recently) the CEO of Accelerate Cape Town, a business think-tank representing 50 of the largest corporations in Cape Town. He is also a Director of several organisations, including trade and investment promotion agency, Wesgro, where he is Deputy Chairman as well as the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

Guy has worked as a consultant, keynote speaker, MC and a facilitator for 15 years and he spent several years running his own corporate strategy consultancy, helping large companies develop foresight and understanding future trends. He has also worked for international firms such as Enrst & Young, Oracle, Dimension Data and the London Stock Exchange, during several years of living on four continents.

Born and raised in Cape Town, Guy completed his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Economics at the University of Cape Town; he completed his Masters in Futures Studies at Stellenbosch University.

Guy is the co-author of two books about South African and its future, namely ‘South Africa: Reasons to Believe’ (with Wayne Visser) and ‘South Africa 2014: The Story of our Future’ (with Stewart Pennington and Brett Bowes).

In 2009, Guy was listed by Business Day as one of the ‘Top 100 Thinkers in South Africa’.
